Traditional Indian Medicine - Ayurvedic Medicine

Another ancient civilization that has practiced natural healing methods is India. This is referred to Ayurvedic medicine. It came from the Sanskrit words "ayer" (life) and "veda" (science).

Just like China, this has been written in their history books and has been passed on from one generation to another. It also shares a similar philosophy with that of Traditional Chinese Medicine as it treats sickness as an imbalance to the universal interconnectedness of a person. To regain this balance, it prescribes diet, exercise, lifestyle changes and compound herbs.

This also includes the practice of:
  • Yoga
  • Detoxification
  • Ayurvedic herbs
  • Ayurvedic diet

They are too many to count, most of which may have already rested in peace. So why do I take time writing about natural healing methods? Is this to combat Western Medicine? Probably some of its methods, but not all of it. I believe that there are many benefits

Earthing as a natural healing method

When was the last time you enjoyed the beauty of nature? When was the last time you went to the beach and played on the shore? When was the last time you walked barefoot on the grass? Can't remember? Then you are missing a lot of health benefits earthing can bring to your body. In the book Earthing , published by Dr. Stephen Sinatra, he explains the many benefits of earthing. This includes: Reduce inflammation Boost energy Lower stress by reducing cortisol Improve sleep Balance hormones Improve circulation Why is this so? "Apparently the earth has a mild negative charge. Our modern indoor life causes our body to build up a positive charge. Connecting to the earth evens out this positive charge and returns our body to a neutral state. The earth naturally stabilizes our body's own electrical system, recharging and healing us. To get the most benefits from earthing, walk barefoot or sit with your feet touching the ground for 30 minutes. You can also swim
